<HTML>If you KNOW Windows and you will be working in DV than Avid Express DV is the way to go, not Premiere. Hardware requirements are minimal and price is good for what you get. You MUST stay in DV though and can't deal with analog or film or HD like you can with FCP. YOU can also finish your work on any Avid system if you have the bucks or know someone with a Symphony
Mac is the way to go with FCP cause you have no choice. FCP is Mac only. Is a Mac a better choice for editing? To me it is. But I know the Mac and can troubleshoot it pretty easily. I don't know Windows. YOU will have to learn a whole new interface if you migrate to the Mac. I'd take that into consideration. I'd also take into consideration that you can't upgrade your DV Express. It's DV only.
Turnkeys are good if you want the support that comes along with it and don't want to troubleshoot yourself. That's nice if your life is on the line. If you CAN trouble shoot well, then build your own system.
