I downloaded some C-span video for this doc Im working on and the mp4 from the site have a frame rate of 22.48. The sync on the original video is rubbery to begin with.
But once I transcode with mpegstreamclip, and place in a timeline, then sync drifts horribly. So I slowed picture up 1 or 2 percent and offset the audio a little and I get to something that's not distracting. Except when I render the video, or export it to have a more manageable source, the end result is the drift is back.
As its not a whole project of this footage Im willing to just manage each edit, but if there's a magic bullet out there or even a silver or copper one Id like to know about it.
