Canopus | Edius | Procorder (Grass Valley is current owners)

Hi everybody!
Several websites indicate that Canopus | Edius | Procorder are significant products and they are somehow "kept secret" from the NLE marketplace (probably prosumers). These softwares appeared to be highly regarded back in 1999... Do we have opinions here regarding the quality and usability of this platform (Windows-based). I'd prefer to avoid an annoying question although I have been curious for years!

Yes, they are used by several news networks here and are pretty solid for simple work. I vaguely recall Grass Valley just bought something significant that seems to indicate they are thinking of expanding their user base, but for the life of me I can't remember what it was.

Oh, I looked - it was a playout solution, not really relevant to this market.

Here's a tutorial for the interface, if you're curious.
