typewriter effect

I still have LiveType version 2 and motion 4.
Is there a way I can create the typewriter effect complete with blinking cursor?

this should be in the motion forum.

Live type has the typewriter effect already. I haven't use it in a while. you can make the cursor with a lower case 'L' and the strobe effect.

Hi,

Once upon a time I create a little app which creates some Typewriter effects.
But you need a screen recording software to make it work.
With the current OS FCP XML is not working. But you can copy any text and paste it into the app. Then start your screen recording software and start automatic typing.
There are options for different types of typewriters, option for delay when you need to press shift key, return etc.
The resulting movie can be imported into FCP.
