New MacPro much faster rendering compared to Nehalem?

I have a dual quad 2.66 from 2009 and I'm about to start a new project that's going to be heavy on the rendering. Anyone have any idea what sort of increase in speed I'll get if I invest in a new 12-core 2.96 Westmere? Anyone done this upgrade?
I'm talking about rendering within FCP, not compressor

Rendering what exactly i.e. what footage with what effects using what drives? All those things make a difference.

I wouldn't put those kind of bucks down on that machine just now. Certainly not just to run FCP at 32 Bits and 4GB of RAM. You'll get a bit quicker render times from the processors, but nowhere near enough improvement to justify the price tag.
