Timeline in FCP not appearing

I can see the canvas and the viewer but the timeline I think is below and off the screen. WINDOWS > TIMELINE is checked. Still no timeline.

Try Control-U to reset your windows.

No, seriously, Command-3 brings it back if you accidentally dismissed it.
Otherwise, reset as Tom indicates.
