Drive upgrade to older G5 FCP Rig

At present I am editing on a Dual 2.5Ghz Mac with Tiger 10.411 with FCP 6.02

We have both a Kona 2 and an aja io in the setup, with the Huge System 2x 1.2TB drives
connected to a UL4D PCI-X SCSI controller for the Huge Arrays.

In leau of rebuilding the arrays (which have 10 drives a piece x$200 a drive)
I was thinking to replace the UL4D with this

Has anyone retofitted a G5 in such a way, and are there any gothchas, hints,
or opinions that anyone would like to send my way!
