5D MK2 and t2i (550d) into FCP... where is that link?

Hi... I just shot a music video using my 5D MK2, and also a t2i (for the 60 fps feature). Painfully trying to import the t2i into FCP now. I know there is a hack somewhere, but is this still the best way to do it, (or has something new and cleaner/easier come along yet?).

Also, I shot in 1920x1080p with the 5D, but 1280x720 with the t2i. Should I edit in a 1920 project or a 1280?

THANK YOU!!

Which frame size did you want?

Log and Transfer should read cards from Canon DSLRs just fine. Did you preserve the file structure?

Log and Transfer doesn't work with the 550...T2i...without a hack.

Interesting, good to know. Canon 60D files work fine. So it would appear that's the lowest model you can use.

You could use the old method of using Compressor directly on the H.264 files. You don't get time-of-day timecode or metadata, but you'll get editable media.

5d to rgb, would probably handle it as well. Although much slower.
