YOu can only PRINT TO VIDEO with that deck...or crash record. That deck doesn't do Edit to Tape. The update did...the 1400

Interesting... Does it let you edit to tape (insert edits) through FW? Or do you need RS422/SDI for it to do inserts?

OH, there is no way to do insert edits of any kind with this deck. Even over Rs422. This is really a player deck only. YOu can record to it, but not in any sort of mastering way...can't have program start at 1:00:00:00 and all that. Nope, you need the 1400 for that.
