Flash effect

This should be simple....

Cutting a dream sequence with a dozen or so short segments. I want ye olde FLASH effect between each clip.
Do I just drop in a white slug or do I need to tweek it ... say start with white then key it down to dissolve into the next image clip?
Or is there a flashbulb effect I just need to drop in?

Nattress and Too Much Too Soon both have Flash transitions.

Or you could go the super cheap route and use a 6 frame dip to colour dissolve with the colour changed to off white. But the Nattress one is nicer, because from memory it's not a completely even flash - it pops in harder than it fades out.
