So when are we going to get a publishing replacement for DVD studio that creates an App. Currently I see Stonehenge Productions does it, anyone else?

Yea, digital downloads don't come with extras (eg. Commentary, the making of, etc). And that was what propelled the death of VHS.

Of course you don't "replace" 6+ Mbit/sec DVDs or 20+ Mbit/sec Blu-rays with 2- Mbit/sec video streams. These are wholly different orders of video. But you're right that there should be a DIY routine for appifying videos, with enough fun gimmicks, and you should expect this to become part of FCP-X.

I've done this type of thing a couple of times for specific purposes. All I did was create a web page and then wrap it into an app.

My software:
Pro Maintenance Tools - Tools to keep Final Cut Studio, Final Cut Pro X, Avid Media Composer and Adobe Premiere Pro running smoothly and fix problems when they arise
Pro Media Tools - Edit QuickTime chapters and metadata, detect gamma shifts, edit markers, watch renders and more
