How do I export with Alpha channel?

Ladies and Gentlemen,

I am cutting something with tons of composites and Neat Video and Lock&Load.

Because I am bonkers, I am doing this in HDV.

I want to export everything EXCEPT the background plates so that I can then re-import the rendered file and try out differing backgrounds faster (hopefully).

I've messed around with the Alpha channel of the re-imported QT file, but I really don't know what I'm doing and have had no success.

Can anyone please help?

Make sure your sequence is un-rendered, and export>QT Conversion and choose "Animation". In the options for Animation, choose "millions of colors+". You can also try using ProRes4444 and choose "millions of colors+".

I would do ProRes 4444 / Straight (MUCH smaller file).
