clip ration changes in FCP

clip ration changes in FCP

they were converted via StreamClip, in the finder and QT player they look fine, yet in the FCP canvas they appear stretched

any ideas?

Check your Sequence Settings.

I'm not laying them into a sequence, just playing them in the viewer, the project is set to the correct ratio . .

Well, you wrote "FCP Canvas".

Select a clip and press COMMAND-9 and list the clip settings.

too tall, or too wide?

well i'm glad we sorted that out.

i still don't know what either the problem was OR the solution, if there was one!

it's probably an anamorphic check-box issue, but really, who can say?
