Final Cut Pro 6 now quits on me everytime I try to open it!

Please people, I really need some help! I am an editor and I have been using Final Cut Pro 6 for a couple of years now. I'm constantly working on projects so I really need Final Cut up and running almost all the time!



Recently (today actually) I tried to open Final Cut Pro. Every single time I try to do this, this message pops up...





Final Cut Pro quit unexpectedly.

The only thing that changed between today and yesterday (in which yesterday it was working perfectly fine) was that I installed MacKeeper and did a "Fast Cleanup" to remove unneeded parts of applications, sysem and user cache files, unused languages from applications, and system/user log files...could this be the reason the program isn't working? I've done some research about others having a similar problem, and I keep hearing something about "trash your preferences", but I have no clue in the world what that even means and how to go about doing that.



Can somebody please help me? I use Final Cut Pro more then anything else on my computer...actually...the reason I have this computer is because of Final Cut Pro!

Why, oh why did you install MacKeeper? Did you research it before installing it? If you had, articles like these would have come up very quickly on Google:

I would try to uninstall it. Some sites claim that MacKeeper installs malware onto your computer and others say that such claims are exaggerated or bogus. You may also need to reinstall FCP.

but if MacKeeper has "tidied up" your mac so much that FCP won't open, i'd say a re-install is in order.

Ahhh thank you all for your responses! Unfortuanetly I didn't look up things about it until after I installed it which was really dumb of me. I uninstalled Mackeeper and in the process of installing FCP again, thank you all!
