batch Export in FCP 7.0.3

Good morning, Happy Editors.

I've never used Batch Export before and am following instructions which I think are correct. But the processing seems to take FOREVER.

I have a bunch of clips in a Timeline. I drag them over to a new project file. I highlight them. I go to Batch Export, choose destination and format etc and then hit Export. A delightful window appears which says "Export Queue", so I guess I'm doing the right thing.

Does anyone know of a faster way for me to export these clips from the Timeline individually? If you add up all the clips, I have a total of about 3 hours to do.

Does this typically take the same amount of time as a normal Timeline export?

Gracious me!

Any alternative ideas which are faster would be most welcome.

I have - brilliantly, I think - solved my own problem. I omitted to tick in the box which says something like "use in and out markers"
