Current Stars of Raid Drives - 4-8 bay

So i am 'old schooling it' with my pair of s2v's (caldigit) one TB on each. With 2 jbods inside my tower with a redundant pair to fill the bays up. I also have a FW800 1tb gtech and a FW400 1tb mercury w/ (hitachi inside).

I was wondering what people are using these days in a freelance 2 editor set up. We have different type of edits so we do not the need to have us both work from the same array yet.

I probably film 1.5tb per year but that does not take into account the new cameras that film at 50mbps in 1080p. The files are larger. so i might estimate 2tb next year.

I was looking at the mercury elite instead of the caldigit due to affordability.
