Apple pro res sequence jumpingPosted by johnnyhmn
Hi everyone, Feliz 2014!
1. I captured HDV from Canon HV40 as HDV, edited as HDV and made a QTmovie as AppleProRes, (following Ken's writings) the final DVD was not as good as expected, so, 2. Now I decided to capture HDV as AppleProRes, and when editing as AppleProRes422, moving in the timeline double speed or more, gives me this skipping frames or jumping. Also this dvd was even worse than the first one, (captured from Canon HV40 as HDV, edited in HDV and made a QTmovie as AppleProRes) (A 2hour wedding takes very long to do QTmovie!) My original files are 1920X1080, when importing them to FCP7 I see they are now 1440x1080. When putting them in the timeline, it asked to change sequence to match files and said YES. Anything I am missing? Thank you! Johnny iMac 2.5G i5, 10.7, 8ram, FCP7

Only for ProRes422 (HQ) work. I would deselect this and render effects in 8-bit. It often helps improve playback. - Loren Today's FCP 7 keytips: Copy clip Attributes with Command-C Paste selected Attributes with Option-V Remove selected Attributes with Command-Option-V !
