another 'get FCP onto a new Mac' question...

I want to move my FCP 7 to a new MacBook Pro. I have install disks for FCP 3 & 4, and possibly a disk image from 5, but I honestly don't remember how I installed 7. It's a fully legit license, but it's been so long I don't remember whether I got here through online upgrades or new instal disks or what. I recall doing a cross grade from the individual app to Studio, and I have that paperwork... But I can't find my FCP 7 install disks... If I ever had them.

How should I go about moving or reinstalling FCP 7 onto my new Mac?

You install the last version...FCP 7. If it's an upgrade disk, it'll ask for the original SN for the first full version you bought...and then ask for the SN for FCP 7.

Migrating never works...too many files are installed throughout the system. Always install from the original install DVDs.
