Dupe frames when ripping VOB file from DVD

I'm using MPEG Streamclip to rip a movie file from a DVD we've been supplied with - it's most likely a PAL to NTSC transfer, runnng at 23.976 fps.

When I play the footage in MPEG Streamclip it appears fine, with no dupe frames. However, when I export to ProRes 422 / 23.976 a dupe frame appears at around every 25/26 frames. Is there a reason for this, and a way to stop it happening?

Sounds like a frame rate mismatch if it is not present in the source. Check frame rate settings in transcoder.

make sure you export from MpegStreamclip at the same frame rate as the original.
that's the default in MpegStreamclip, so you're best not to add any value in the frame-rate box.

I ended up using another converter and it worked fine.
