No audio on tracks 3 and 4 in ProRes 422HQ 1080p timeline

I have imported a separate video file and audio with the same stereo audio settings, and although the VU meters show audio, I can't hear it. Any suggestions?

I tried a movie export - and the audio is definitely there. I even tried moved the tracks to 1 and 2 and it plays fine. Bit it won't play the audio out on traks 2+4 or any others - except 1 and 2.

maybe your timeline has more than a simple 2 audio outputs?

open your sequence settings, and check the Audio Outputs tab.
if you want you can revert to 2,

or if you want more than 2, close you sequence settings, and you should get a warning window which will offer you the ability to do a Stereo Mixdown,
meaning you'll hear all tracks.

if you don't (that warning can be disabled) open up the mixer panel (Option 6) and there's a button on that *somewhere* that will turn Stereo Mixdown on.cant exactly remember, i think it;s the one that looks like a pair of speakers
