FCP-X record back to HDV deck?

I just switched from the odl FCP to FCP-X and have no problem capturing footage from the HDV Sony deck, however, I don't know how to send the edited footage back to the HDV deck for recording. I can produce a Quicktime composite or mpg4 composite but then need to record it onto tape on the HDV deck.

Your guidance would be most appreciated.

do you still have the old FCP?
export a QT movie from FCPX,
bring it into FCP7, and print to tape.

Thanks Nick. Yes I still have the old system up and running so this is an excellent work-around.

Eventually I hope to retire the old system so I am still searching for a method to go straight from FCPX to tape.

can you keep FCP7 going on your current system along with FCPX?
(i'll answer that: yes, it will be a little while yet before FCP7 is completely broken)

Both Blackmagic and AJA make simple log and capture apps,
maybe they can play out to HDV as well?
