FCP Log&Transfer question

Still trying to get better at my aging editor...

In the L&T window, can I disable the importing of audio for a whole bunch of clips at once? This would be great for adding a bunch of B-roll footage.

Thanks,
Stefan

hi Stefan,

in the Log & Capture window, go to the Clip Settings pane,
there's a check box there for audio you can turn off
that should work

cheers,
nick

Thanks Nick, but that's the Log&Capture window. I'm doing Log&Transfer which doesn't seem to have such a function.

oops sorry.
simple solution, when you edit that footage in just lock all audio tracks

i re-map the locking commands to something i believe to be better than the default:

Control + keypad 1-8 lock/unlock tracks V1-8
Control + keypad 0 lock/unlock all V

Control+Option + keypad 1-8 lock/unlock tracks A1-8
Control+Option + keypad 0 lock/unlock all V

many times during the day, i'll lock/ unlock all audio.

hope that helps.

(if you really want, you can strip out the audio from multiple quicklimes with QT Change, from video toolshed.
I've done that, when i had 1000s of clips to do.)

That's a great workaround. Thanks Nick!
