How do you composite/key images?

<HTML>I am editing a wedding and it calls for a few effects that are supposed to reveal the next scene. Here is an example. An animated limo pulls into frame and the window rolls down revealing a black area that eventually fills the whole screen. How do I make the next image in my sequence come through that area?

If anybody has some answers I'd greatly appreciate it!
