dropped frames/ aborted playback

<HTML>Have created several sequences of approx 2 mins each with transition effects only. Despite following all recommendations for achieving a smooth playback the last two sequences stop, usually at the same place or places.

I am working with 72 gigs internal & 512 gig of ram on a dual 500 G4 and a 75 gig La Cie. The sequences are stored on the La Cie. Plenty of drive space is available.

Could the transition effects have anything to do with it?

Any suggestions?

<HTML>Every time I read a post about the stuttering playback and dropped frames thing I immediately think of the Rad dv codec extension in your extensions folder which need to be trashed. Check to see if you got those 2 in there and if you do trash them and re start and see what it does.
