Trying out optional Log IN/register for Cafe LAPosted by Anonymous User
Not sure how this will work but for those who register for this forum you should be able to edit your posts and create a signature and all those other cool things you can do with other forum software.
Lets give it a try for a few days and see how it works. If all goes to hell we just go back to being public. As of this moment all this is optional or its supposed to be.
It said there was already a user registered with my name, so I had to log in to reply to a post. Other than that, all seems ok so far....

OO! Moderator buttons. Nice touch. Not that there's much need to delete idiot or defametory posts, on what is about the most pleasant and well mannered forum I visit / moderate for. Keep up the good work Mike!
Editing posts seems to work too. Graeme [www.nattress.com] - Plugins for FCP-X
Bold would be fine for your own posts, so you can spot them easier, but if everyone appears bold, it might be a bit ugly agreed.
Any way to have control over whether the email replies checkbox defaults to on or off? For mods, I don't want to get double emails so I set it to off. Graeme [www.nattress.com] - Plugins for FCP-X

Not that I know of. I could turn the option of having all emails sent to you off. But then you'd have to check in all the time. mikke

Harry - you made me laugh so hard I snorted coffee out my nose.
She Whom Must Be Obeyed thought bold corresponded with waistline - so was wondering why my posts weren't in extra extra bold. I told her I'd mow the lawn if she piped down. She said she would - once the lawn was done. So I'll be out in the rain mowing tonight. Ian
Lawn is cut. She made the coffee.
Delicious fresh roasted, fresh ground, STRONG Hawaiian Kona. It is one of the seven wonders of the world to have a fresh cup of that ambrosia. That's why wasting any is such a serious event. SHE took to making it in self defense, as I am one stalled puppy until the pump gets primed with lots of caffeine in the AM. A 6' 6" bear blundering into things around the house gets dangerous (or so she says). Ian
Hey, nice. Thanks Mike
![]() Is anyone else having trouble with all the red *new* tags dissapearing after you reply to one post? Not sure if it's just my browser .... >>>Editing this post just to see what it does.<<<
