Windows Capture --> FCX/FCP editing

Need to find out what programs will capture DV in and write out a file that FCX/FCP can import and edit.

I know this works well with Premiere Pro, but it is too much money for the role of simply capturing the video to be taken & editing on a Mac.

Any suggestions? I know this is a little OT, but was hoping someone else might know an answer.

As mentioned in the subject line, need a Windows program since they only have a Win XP system at that location.

Capture video directly into Windows Quicktime. Since FCP makes QT files when capturing, I would think that using QT as the main app could eliminate any compatibility issues? I'd be worried that other apps would try to capture as .wmv or .avi files, or else insert their own flags into the files. Is there time to test this out?
