any DataVideo DAC-10 users?
June 05, 2005 10:46AM
Before I plop down $600 for a DataVideo DAC-10 transcoder, do any of its users have something good or bad to say about this product? I'd mainly be using it to transcode analog video to DV (directly into FCP and sometimes recording on a Sony DSR-1500a). Does the DAC-10's hardware codec do a good job?

Thanks!

I have a DAC-2 with nothing bad to say about it. Transcodes regular VHS / DVD players / BetaSP just fine (even with broken timecode / control track). I would highly recommend any unit from the "DAC" line.
