JVC Deck in FCP 4.0

I'm trying to get my JVC DV600UA Deck to hook up with a dual processor G5 running Tiger......Has anyone been able to get capture control to work?

You hooked up and in VTR mode before you boot up FCP? I dont know the JVC deck but make sure you try a couple FW cables and FW ports and also make sure the deck is on the "supported" list.
