DVDpro4 is killing me

hey i have been jerry chaining 2 macs togetther so that when i am done with the edit i can burn in iDVD. WHY YOU MAY ASK Well its because it seems no matter what i do my dvdpro4 will only make a disc that plays on an apple cpu.
I tried to play the disc that i just burned on a XP (home edition) windows machine and it would not play there either. i have had DVD4 for like 4months and have yet to burn a copy that will play in any thing but a mac. what is the magic word or do i have to call Froto Baggins:-)

G5 dual 1.8
RAM 2.5
64mb video card
other spec for the tower i have are stock
note:: i bought my cpu 1.5 years ago

We need the specs of the media you were trying to burn on DVD, and also the preference settings you've been using.
