In my "Advanced" settings which relates to the second of 2 photos provided via the link below I am unable to select anything but the frame rate and the slide for compression from least to best. I cannot click on any of the drop down menus.

As you can see from the photo even where the word "Quality" is and the box that surrounds it is all out of place. I have reinstalled FCP 5 and it still has the glitch.

If anyone can help I would very much appreciate it as I cannot capture interlaced or 4:3 as the drop downs for Progressive and 16:9 are locked.

I have also deleted all of my preferences and re-installed FCP 5 twice. I cannot select any of the drop down menus under advanced section of Capture Presets.

The problem remains.

It looks likes a corrupt Compressor. Did you try Uninstalling FCP? There is a document on the Apple site that lists all the items that have to be deleted. It's FCP4, but I would try it.

Do I need to also re-install all of FCP HD in order to re-install FCP 5?

This would make sense because my FCP 5 is the upgrade.

How does this work?
