Boy, I wish I was in California attending this meeting. I had it out with their Tech AND Sales Departments for days on the phone and in emails - NEITHER could tell me from day to day what drive manufacturers were in there (it was like the blind leading the blind). They said it changes all the time. On the other hand, G-Technology told me exactly what drives they use, the speed, load data and about 15 minutes worth of benchmark results as compared to LaCie's big disk extreme (see Barefeats).

Hopefully, they have more concrete answers for you guys than the last time I spoke to them. That said, I'll pass on LaCie products.
