Freeze and now audio on print to tape

Hi

I am exporting a show to dv cam on a dv cam deck on fcp 4.5. We have had our sound mixed and I have matched the sync pops to the old referances, for some reason 2/3's of the way throught the show either the print to tape will freeze or will continue playing without the audio. I have imported the audio into the same project and Have tried reconnecting online media so final cut knows where the original file is. I have also tried using a nested sequence, so it is one unamamous clip, Also i have tried generating a quicktime movie.. and re importing to a new seqence. But always around the same time it will either freeze or continue without sound. All of my clip settings match the timeline settings and I have no idea what to do? My opinion is the original capture footage is corrupt is some way but it's just a hunch.

Also here is a weird event. When I do a test print to tape and have my in point close to the problem area on the timeline final cut has no problem continuing on printing to tape past the problem area on the time line. It is only when i begin to print to tape from the begining of the time line to I encouter this continuoues problem.

what version of the mac OS are you running and what version of quicktime?

Make shure that all parts of your project is on the same disk. Mabe you have something on your external disk or second disc who goes in sleep during print to tape action.

Aaron, my editor may have thaked you already but I sent a double thank you because your suggestion got our tape to print and I have learned a valuable lesson as far as spreading media around to varous drives.
