Importing Digital Stills as Movie Frames

Posted by Deadlonesome
Just bought a Canon 20D that I want to use as a time-lapse movie camera. Can FCP5 be used to import and sequence my digital "still" as movie frames?

No, but you can use QuickTime to import image sequence and then export to mov.

you can import into FCP.
first you have to set your "Still freeze" duration to 1 frame in the user prefs editing tab.
you can drag all the single frame stills to a sequence, then use that sequence as a source.

it does tax the system more than Jupi's suggestion, though.

The process seems to work just fine in FCP5. The FCPs in the middle are questionable and FCP3 didn't work at all.

It failed in a weird way, too. It would *seem* to work, but at the end of the sequence, it would never come out to the right number of frames.

I have FCP 5 so I'm looking forward to giving it a shot. Thanks everybody for all of your help.
