Red- transparent film over pic

I am using the latest version of FCP. For some reason my sequence window is covered by a red transparent color, only when I stop playing. When I'm playing or scrolling through, it's normal. Almost like a matte is over it. Any ideas?

go to the view menu and select Channel->RGB betcha it is set to Alpha+RGB
