why dont we try to have some posting fun and create a game for show and tell.

heres the idea?

1. Match Maker
this where lafcpug moderators post a link to a clip that has a certain editing characteristics and member try to figure out how it was done. even better members could try to recreate it.

2. Show Me The Movie
moderators describe a scene in a movie and members try to find a clip of the movie to post. the movie has to be one whos home page is availible with trailor or at least on ifilm.

3. Name that editor
this is where moderators choose a movie/commercial/short and members ty to name the editor or editing team. i got this idea after being told that the charles swab commercials were done by scanner darkly.

these are just ruff ideas but what do you guys think?

I dig Matchmaker.

That would be very interesting.
It could be graphix and editing and compositing combined or whatever.

Let the games begin!!

thats the one i like the most too cause it would be better for learning editing technics.

a moderator could post a new match maker every tuesday and on saturday or even one post a new clip bi-weekly.

Yes.

Its great for learning.
And if different people try to achieve the same results I am sure we'll find that
there are lots of ways to get there.

Could be a debrief after where the best results are made into tutorials perhaps?

Lets see if anyone else is keen.
