Why can't I get to my ntsc moniter with firewire? I see the option on my user preference tab, but can't seem to highlight it.

Because

"Note: Currently, Digital Cinema Desktop previews and Apple FireWire output are not
available for monitoring the output from Color."

You need to buy and install a card from someone like Blackmagic or AJA
