FCP6>COLOR STILL IMAGES ALPHA ?

Hi all,

This is a FCP & Colr topic....

I imported in my FCproject still images (TGA) coming from sfx.
Exported to Color
read ok

For Color I need those images in sequences (and not 8000 stills)
so I compacted them in mini sequences in FCP with
Menu>Sequence>The 8th from the top (Imbriquer elements)(french version)

And now Color goes into its very long loading xml process & crashes!
(FCP also did crash on export once)

So i reopened an old version of project (prior to compacting) and it read it.

So I have the feeling it has to do with the Apha chanels of my SFX and the rendering of my still images...

What should I do ???

Alpha channels are not supported in Color. I'd suggest rendering down to uncompressed or ProRes in FCP before moving onto Color.

Indeed during the night I came down to exporting from FCP in Quicktime to noncompressed sequences, reimporting them to FC (to mix them with the rest of the project on the timeline) before exporting in XML.
Reads fine in Color.
