Apple QMaster, Color and 8 Core

Any tips on how to optimize my render set up for Color. I have an 8 Core Mac Pro. I was under the impression that I could control threads to each Core. I am not on a network....so single machine render options only apply.

Any tips on this?

Color does not work with QMaster so the machine stock is about as fast as it's going to be- no further optimizations are needed.
