color not working

color not working

mac 2.7 dual, decklink hd pro, 6 gigs ram

When I send project to color all I get is digital mess. No image, just artifacts. I used to not have this problem, I upgraded to 10.5, quicktime 7.3.1 and now its a digital mess.

Is there a work around, update, or do I have to back to 10.4 and quicktime 7.2?

Hi, Kevin smiling smiley

What version of Color 1.0.2?

Are you sending the sequence from FCP Browser?

I'm sending from Leopard to Color fine. There were some issues with BlackMagic but I do not know what they are.

EDIT: BTW, are any of the tracks locked in Final Cut? If so unlock them prior to sending to Color.

version 1.0.2 for Color. Yes I'm sending it from the file browser. No tracks are locked. Are you using quicktime 7.3.1? Decklink says its compatable.

trust me on this one - Dont bother.

Color is far from finished and still has too many flaws to be considered in a workflow.

Actually, I've used it on several other projects with good results until I went to leopard and quicktime 7.3.1

Color does have its funkiness. But, I would not be quick to judge on its usefulness as a powerful tool. One needs to learn how to use such a tool and it's idiosyncrasies, but it has brought color correction to my post house and therefore some new clients. I am now able to keep the whole online workflow in-house and save my clients thousands.
