matrox mxo or blackmagic hdlink?

We'd like to use color on our fcp system. The MXO wasn't compatible with color, but now it seems it is. If that is hooked up with an apple 23" cinema display, do we have something we can do colour grading on or would the hdlink be adequate or would neither do the job?

Sorry if this is a boring/stupid/newbie question, I know it's a can of worms, but the whole topic is somewhat doing my head in. Any pointers would be appreciated.

scratch that - going with the matrox mxo. if it does what it says on the box, it's exactly what we're looking for.
