folder changes into dogeared file!!!

Hi all

Am posting this for a german friend of mine.

He is some what of the color wizard here in Berlin or at least was until this happened....

"I had just finished a project in color and wanted to save a picture in Still Store. I wanted to use this as a reference for future versions of the film. This did not work though because the folder "Still Store" could not be found in my project!

So I quit color.....

Later I started color and got the following message

Could not locate Project Directory"/users/editor/Documents/Color Documents/" . Setting back to factory settings.

So I quit again and looked in my documents folder.

My Color Documents Folder had transformed it self into a file which doesn´t have a recommended program to open it.

i.e. the symbol looks like a page with a dog ear on the top right."

S.O.S. please help us here in Berlin Germany because we haven´t got a clue.

1.) Surely you have a backup of that project folder...
2.) I would run a disk/ file system check utility such as Apple's Disk Utility or Techtool Pro
3.) run a maintenance utility such as Yasu, Cocktail or Leopard Cache cleaner and "rebuild prebindings"
