Color Question

Hey Guys,

I have a quick question. I have recently looked at color correctors to hire for my film. I don't need any major things but just a standard broadcast safe check for most. The only intensive things are a few shots that need to be turned from day to night and thats about it.

One guy wants to use the new program Color, which sounds really awesome. But, the other guy who seems more experienced, wants to stick to color correcting within Final Cut Pro 6, I guess using the corrector wheels and all.

What do you think? Should working within FCP 6 be completely sufficient enough and have similar capabilities as working in Color? Or should the differences between the two people make my decision?

Thanks so much!!!

It's the Colorist not the software. You can do many of the same things in FCP that you can in Color it just requires a lot more effort to do it in FCP.

Color has a lot more toys, subtlety & power.
