Hi all,

I recently bought the Matrox MXO because their promotional material indicates that you can use the device to "turn an Apple Cinema Display or other DVI monitor into an artifact-free, true-color video display you can trust, even for color grading". [www.matrox.com]

So now I'm looking for a monitor and understand that the MXO was optimized for the old 1920 x 1200 Mac monitor. I've read lots of good stuff about the Dell U2711. Can anyone make a recommendation to a good monitor and let me know what specifically makes it good?

Despite what other folks will say, I would not trust any computer monitor as my color reference monitor.

Flanders Scientific 1760W is the cheapest reference monitor I trust. We have that, the 1770W and 2460W's in our shop. You can feed it with the MXO.

Some folks swear by the HP DreamColor monitor and with a lot of tweaking apparently you can get a good image. I just want a true color reference monitor for my needs.
