compressor suddenly very slow??

I am going from FCP 6 with a macbook pro running leopard with 4 gb RAM. The project is a 1 hour film exported as quicktime DV PAL into Compressor using best DVD setting. Previously Compressor took about an hour or so. I made some additions exported into compressor and the process now seems to be taking half a day? Help me please. Cheers Phil.

Is it a self contained qt movie? how much space do you have on your hard drives? try resetting background encoding in compressor.
