How can i add the Apple ProRes Codec(encoder) in my project?

I am a software engineer, Now I want to add ProRes Codec in my project.so I can transform the other video format into Apple ProRes format.I found a great deal of information on the internet,but didn't find any useful information.I know the ProRes encoder is integrated in the FCP.but don't know how to use it.Some audio and video converter software include it ,like ClipWrap Converter(you can google it,but i think many people know it).So someone can help me or give me some useful information?I would be greatful!Thanks!
