PROBLEM TRYING TO EXPORT IN QT CONVERSION

Hi everyone!
i'm from chile and i'm editing a tv program, our tv sistem here is NTSC.
all the show was recorded in HD, so my sequence is in the same codec.
but now i need to export using this conversion:

QUICKTIME CONVERTION
DVDVCPRO
29,97
QUALITY BEST
4:3
CON LETTERBOX
STEREO
48KHZ
16 BITS

but the problem is, that the estimated time is about 5 days!!

so what can i do??!!

i'm editing on a macbook pro 15 inchs, 2gb RAM...

BUT IF I EDITED ALL THE VIDEO WITHOUT PROBLEMS , WHY NOW I HAVE THAT BIIIG PROBLEM?

What codec?

I would recommend that you don't use QuickTime Conversion but instead export to a QuickTime movie and bring that into Compressor.
