outputting HD footage for a broadcast spot

hey guys.....

sorry for a such basic question.....

we mostly (near exclusively work online and dvd, not broadcast....)

We recently helped out a friends media company and produced a spot for their client, for local broadcast. It was shot it 30p 1920 x1080...

The final cut timeline we worked is also the 1920 x1080i....

Looking at all the tech specs for the local networks, they all list 1920 x 1080i as the required output. I'm just trying to be super-dilegent, do I need to do something in the export to, in laymen's terms, "interlace" the footage? (I know you can't really technically do that, but hopefully you get my drift.) I actually prefer it not "look" interlaced, just want to be sure we deliver proper format. I don't want it rejected or causing issue on airing by the stations, naturally.

I have a colleague who delivered a PPV in the same manner, shooting 30p, and just outputting it, but again I want to do our proper diligence. Most of my colleagues friends are not TV people, so I thought I'd jump in the good ol LAFCUP!

Thanks!

dan
