Guides / Grid

Wow! Michael was just asking for New Features, not a whole discussion.
I'd like to have all of the above, though. But also a more interactive Text formater, and also some sort of guides/grid to help position items in the Viewer.

Comp Window Rulers and Adjustable / lockable / hideable guides...like in After Effects / Photoshop / Illustrator. If FCP is going to pretend to be a compositing program, it may as well act like one

Would this work? Not sure about the viewer, but this does it in the canvas.

yep, that'd work Gerald, and don't forget its just a filter so would work equally well in the Viewer or Canvas ... I've go something similar here too: [web.me.com] (Andy's Guides)
