Store the Scratch Disk locations WITH the Project File

Hi All

It would save me heaps of time for FCP to have an optional function to store the scratch disk locations (and the cache locations also) for a particular project WITH that project file. I give each project a folder and have all data in that folder (or that whole drive). Having to change scratch locations each time I open a different project is a real pain, and it also means I cannot render different projects overnight.

Seems a relatively easy request, but then again I am not a coder!

Cheers, AJ

Have a look at the excellent (and free) Preference Manager from Jon Chappell's Digital Rebellion. Since the version 2 release it offers the ability to associate preference sets (and therefore Scratch Disk settings) to specific project files. By becoming an FCP project launcher for those projects it can then load those settings whenever you launch those specific projects. Cool.

i didn't know that.

there is also Edit Mule's "Auto Scratch" which does a similar thing (and costs).
