Filtering in the timeline so that you can highlight all clips from a certain reel..maybe they all need to be resized equally, etc.

You can label a selection of clips from a specific reel with a single color and any instance of those clips in the timeline will be easily identifiable ... also, in FCP7 there is the new View menu > Reveal Affiliate Clips in Front Sequence option. Very handy.
